Pelsan Aydınlatma Supports Candidate Engineers
Pelsan Aydınlatma, achieving great project recently along with creating the highest employment for the lighting industry, increasingly sustains its R&D and education support studies in addition to problem-free service to its customers with efficiency and green environment...
Pelsan Aydınlatma starting off with the purpose of increasing practical info provision power of the laboratories existing at the universities related to lighting, has committed itself to develop and implement laboratories at schools. Pelsan Aydınlatma has undertaken establishing a lighting laboratory at universities as a social responsibility project with this mission within the scope of "Supporting Education" project and performed its activities for the first time in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electric-Electronic at Yıldız Technical University with which a protocol has been signed recently. The opening ceremony, which was performed with a great participation, was interested greatly by the academic environment as well as representatives of the industry and students.
Pelsan Aydınlatma Board Member Yurdem Görüş Çoruhlu said that their purpose in establishing Lighting Laboratories was to allow students of the Faculty of Electric Electronics to graduate by obtaining awareness in lightning subject and he hoped that increasing number of competent engineers in this area would also lead an increase in the knowledge in the industry. Çoruhlu indicated that he believed prospective engineering would learn lighting in practice and not only gain practice, but also encourage them in the studies after graduation thanks to the laboratory to be established and that it was possible for the students to design products they dream by using Pelsan's technical infrastructure in the projects they intend to realize and to sell anywhere around the work.
Under the protocol that has been signed recently with the President of Yıldız Technical University Prof. Dr. İsmail Yüksek, Dean of the Faculty of Electric-Electronic Prof. Dr. Celal Kocatepe, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Prof. Dr. Mugdesem Tanrıöven and valuable instructors, products and devices inside the product are determined as follows: Interior and exterior lighting fixtures, LED components, lamps, sensors, stroboscopic effect measurement device, Ulbricht sphere for measuring various characteristics of light sources, various power sources measuring equipment and demos...Thus, it is aimed to ensure young candidate engineers get basic knowledge and skills in lighting and interior installation, to choose the light source, fixture and auxiliary components for a correct lighting system, to be familiar with lighting automation system, to follow-up and use rapidly developing lighting technologies and get similar competencies in order to achieve competent and trained manpower.
Yurdem Göğüş Çoruhlu stating that important projects will increasingly continue especially in education area in 2013, indicated that protocol had been signed in subsequent days with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Kocaeli University, with which same cooperation exists and a similar lighting laboratory would be made available to Kocaeli University as well.
