Pelsan Aydınlatma (Lighting), on the occasion of the World Women’s Day, got together with women working in the Lighting Industry…
This year, Pelsan Aydınlatma blazed a trail in the lighting industry and on the occasion of the World Women’s Day of March 8th brought women working in the lighting industry together with their colleagues from different organizations. Members of the Turkish National Committee on İllumination (ATMK), academics, women representatives from the pioneering companies in the industry, representatives from the industrial magazines and women representatives of exposition, trade shows and fairs companies attended to the dinner organized at Martı İstanbul Hotel.
The dinner party , which has the privilege and distinction of being a first in the industry, was hosted for the first time by Yurdem Göğüş Çoruhlu, a member of the Board of Directors of Pelsan Aydınlatma, with the purpose of celebrating the World Women’s Day and bringing women working in the industry together with their colleagues from different organizations. The dinner was organized primarily with the purpose of bringing together the women working in key positions in the lighting industry, which is actually a male dominated industry, to create a synergy among these executive women. At the dinner, the guests enjoyed the opportunity of knowing each other better and to exchange their ideas and experiences.
The dinner party attracted a great attention from all sectors of society. Yurdem Göğüş Çoruhlu, a member of the Board of Directors of Pelsan Aydınlatma, delivered the opening speech of the event and stated that the dinner is organized with the primary purpose of bringing together the women who have made a considerable contribution to the industry, and thus the sense of unity and togetherness, which the industry lacks nowadays, will emerge. Göğüş stated that all stakeholders in the industry are sailing on the same boat and concluded his words by saying: “For the development and improvement of the industry we need women to get together and create synergy. The gradually increasing number of women working in the industry will provide additional credibility and strength to the industry. I would like to express my pleasure for coming together on the occasion of the World Women’s Day of March 8th and to lead the way for this special event, and I am sincerely looking forward to continue this tradition also in the future”.

Pelsan aims to attract attention of young engineering trainees to the lighting industry and to encourage them to educate themselves thanks to the lighting laboratories that the company established at the Yıldız Technical University and Kocaeli University. Pelsan Aydınlatma, which increased its investments in the lighting industry with the arrival of the new technology LED, and restructured its R&D department, refurbished its laboratories making them equipped with the state- of –the- art technology equipment and devices, have its name frequently mentioned of its considerable contribution to the industry. Pelsan Aydınlatma, with its history of 32 years full of successes, not only makes a significant contribution to the national economy with its exports to 62 countries but also spearheads the drive for the promotion of the Turkish lighting industry all over the world.
